1920s Block Shiraz
Wine
Baileys of Glenrowan 1920s Block Shiraz is made from a cherished dry grown estate block on the upper slopes of the Warby Ranges in north-east Victoria.
Planted in the 1920s the elevated location is unique with cool air flowing down from the ranges, which in turn tempers the warmer airflow upward from the nearby Winton Wetlands to the west.
The soils are red granite and produce grapes of powerful structure and longevity. The winemaking is traditional with open fermentation and basket pressing. The wine sees extended maturation in seasoned French oak.
Deep dark red, Baileys of Glenrowan 1920s Block Shiraz is brooding and rich, packed with spice and dark fruit flavours. Cellaring potential is 12 years.
